The Quality Department coordinates and participates in hospital-wide performance improvement.

The Quality Department is dedicated to improving the safety and quality of care delivered at Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital. The department continues to coordinate and participate in hospital-wide Performance Improvement, Quality Surveillance, Infection Control, and Risk Management.

A large focus for the Quality Department is maintaining compliance to The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA)
standards. The Quality Department consists of the Directory of Quality, the Manager of Infection Prevention, The Manager of Customer Risk & Patient Experience, and adding the Quality Assurance Associate
